list of transportation problems that happened this past weekend
1. journey to karate class took one hour and forty minutes.
2. return trip took over two hours.
3. rode bicycle locally, in an act of willingness to try harder to find transportation solutions, to destination on 231st and kingsbridge. downhill was lovely. the thing i was riding to wasn't there.
4. uphill: carrying bicycle up a mountainside of steps, there was a rough bricked pathway which was better than actual stair-steps. the pathway ended before the mountain did; there were stairs.
5. took metro north home on sunday evening, to find no rail link. had to walk up winding mountainous pathway in blinding heat.

the good thing that happened
1. saw a rooster walking alongside the road, trying to walk up the hill, dodging trees and pecking around.
2. i threw him planters brand dry-roasted peanuts and greeted him several times, asking how he was doing and what he was planning to do next.

things i will do this weekend
1. go to karate.
2. see "sunshine daydream" at makor.
3. see the zen tricksterds at makor.
4. attend prosperity diva edwene gaines' workshop at unity church on sunday.
5. buy and read the new york times.
6. run on new treadmill.
7. finish working on taxes.
8. prepare for extremely productive week.
9. write in god-book.
10. read other books, the jew in the lotus and also motivational interviewing.
11. buy "monsoon wedding" cd, possibly at tribal soundz.
